Class Acts & Onions
We mostly know that I leave cooking and such like to my Cheaper Half! I do occasionally offer my services in the preparation of courses to wit I'm not too bad at . Providing there is a box of Elastoplast and a swear tin handy, I'm happy to chop away.
Strangely, when it comes to the cutting of onions I am extremely tolerant to that making my eyes water. In all honesty, I cannot remember the last time my eyes went bulb moist! I can only surmise the onion is now exacting revenge on the 21st century public, for some past-life humiliating, mutilation treatment or other and I was Queen Onion Worshiper of Ancient Egypt!
Of course, there are plenty hints and trials on how to keep tears at bay while chopping onions. My hubby suggests chopping and slicing the onion under water. But what kind of advice is that? Does he really expect people to keep popping up for air every 60 seconds or so? He may be an excellent cook but he can't half be silly at times...!!

(Tea)Pot Head
After a right old rake-and-bung in our attic, we came across an old full tea set, straight from the 80's. My hubby ran a pottery back then and made the set personally. In finding quite a large teapot, we decided to use the traditional method of making a pot full for top ups ect.
My younger son, Adam, (Norsey) volunteered to make the tea for us, quite taken with the ghastly, clay retro, oh, no! He came through with a tray with mugs and handed us an empty one each. Quite nonchalantly, he started to pour the tea into our mugs - fully sugared and milked - in his own calculations. I was 'first' because I took just one sugar normally. He then poured the other mugs. It wasn't until he got to his father, who took no milk nor sugar in his, that he realized his blunder. I fear for that child, I really do! Stick with the music mate...........

Drip, Drip, Drop / Much Too Tasty
(based on a true pair of eyes)
You wiped them away many times
Those little diamonds
You said they were sweet
Though they tasted of salt
Drops ran and moved you
Diamonds of water
Salty and flowing unashamed
You'd kiss them away
One day you caused them
Not through joy
You threw me a tissue
Where the salt crystals dried
I looked at you
Hands remaining in pockets
Now the feeling was sour
Salt was sweet no more
Hurt is a mighty force
She's always there to create a sparkle
Water and salt with no grains
Yet still stings the eye.

Much Too Tasty!
Too much salt is on those chips
Will give you cracked and dried up lips!
Make you drink a ton of water
In moderation is how you oughta
Shake that cellar in you hand
How can I make you understand...?
It's not too healthy but tastes nice
Oh, won't you take my rude advice!!
You need your kidneys working fine
On dialysis you'll spend your time!
Just cut down, gradual, bit by bit
It's best to calm this salty hit!
Too much salt is on those chips
Will give you dry and scraggy lips
So if it shows upon your face
Why let your insides go to waste...?!
Fabulous prompt! Last piece in memory of my bossy old gran to my oldest brother.......
