Instance

I don't like looking straight at me
The me the whole world wants to see
Raw emotion, gilded gain
A wreath of mediocre pain

Happy in my ever after
Clinging on to sweet disaster
Indecisive, spent delay
Negative in funny ways

Actions playing games with thought
Behind a lens for vision's sought
Unable to defeat addiction
Hung upon my crucifixion

Don't underestimate that click
However lengthy, poised or slick
The mind's eye loses battle to
Those carbon layers of you-know-who........

I especially like the first two stanzas, there's just no better description than "mediocre pain."
