It was while I was having ding ding, round three, of my breast mammogram and biopsy - the nippiest bugger yet- that the nurses were alarmed at the bruising and injury to my left hand. The story develops as thus:
Around a week ago, there were some plumbers in fixing our downstairs water heater. The thermostat had packed in and a new one was to be replaced. Sadly, as the house is fairly old - built in the fifties - the plumbing was a bit of a nightmare. To access the right bit, the carpet and floorboards in my son's room had to be pulled back and up!

Everything OK with the mammograms? Those bruises would scare me as well, if I were a nurse. Looks like it hurt like HELL though. Just sayin'!
If the two "lightest" weights did that much damage, I can't imagine what the heavier ones would have done! What a horrible accident! Thankfully nothing was broken!
I hope all is well with your mammogram.
Take care!
Ouch! That looks horrifically painful - my sympathies go out to you.♥
Never having had a mammogram (yet) I would hazard a guess that the pain of having one's love bells squashed to tissue paper thinness would be similar to having one's hand squashed by falling dumbbells... but the former would attract less sympathy!
And as others have expressed, we are all hoping for a good result with the 'gram!
The only thing worse than squashing your hand and having it look like a swollen zombie arm would be to have squashed your hand, and it hurt like hell, but there be no evidence. I hate when that happens. You have my fullest sympathy... that arm looks rough.
More mammograms?! I thought you were done! Keep us posted.
Oh my goodness, that's terrible. A very loud 'ouch' but glad to know that nothing was broken. So many bones in the hand that there so easily could have been a break.
