Until Then

Dusk scents, the lure of a walk through the streets
inviting the eye to explore
Rooms lighting gently as darkness defeats
taking over in gradual rapport

Shades still not drawn, skylines vaguely protest
here comes nighttime in all her attire
Forcing bulbs in all colours to coalesced
besides flicks of the tiniest fire

Inside buildings and houses and solitude hides
routines and rituals run
Sending dusk off with mundane acts sweetly disguised
till the call from the lure of the sun

Lena,
So you're too hot for anything more than a quickie?
I'll ponder that for a while longer.

A nicely descriptive poem about our human habits and routines generated by the fall of darkness and its ending at dawn.

It has a very British feel to it. :)

I like this very much especially the last stanza which reminds me that we all go through rituals without even realizing it.

you get into that house, and set up the moods the actions and everything going on very nicely

neither good nor bad

Captures that no-ritual ritual before dawn beautifully, if that makes sense.
